Talks with Dai
While teaching at Joffrey Academy in Chicago, I had a class called 'Tuesdays with Dai". Every Tuesday I had a class with free range of subjects to teach for the Trainees and Studio Company . We worked on Mime, the use of different props, Juggling, Pantomime in classical ballet, Stretch and Meditation, but what the dancers asked more often, was the Talks. I guided discussions around various subjects including Audition Preparation, Technique 101, Self confidence, Nutrition among others. I feel very lucky to have had that opportunity. It gave me a chance to hear from them their needs in these areas providing me a much better understanding of how to help them find balance and awareness of not only their body's need but their mental needs.
Now I continue to offer the Talks, but not only to the Trainees, but to Dance schools, and communities that need tools to navigate the mind-game world of Dance and Health. I include a mini workshop with the Talks related with each topic.

The topics are:

-
Dancer Integrative Nutrition: Body and Mind Wellbeing

-
Psychological Resilience in Dance: Tools to thrive in ballet training and auditions

-
